The Smiths moved back to Jill's hometown in 1997 to be able raise their children near family and connect with a community that they could give back to. Jill served many of the local children teaching in Cody, Lovell, and Powell for many years. Seaton brought the ReSource Inc Customer / Technical Support Department to Powell in 1997 that created 7 new positions before he devoted his full-time energy to Gluten Free Oats. In 2003 the Smith’s launched the first certified Gluten Free Oat mill in USA from Forrest’s FFA project on their kitchen table into a multimillion-dollar business shipping product all over the world. In 2020 the Smiths decided to retire from Gluten Free Oats to enjoy more family time in addition to applying their great customer service skills towards Smith Self Storage in 2021.
